Lytical Data Deletion Guide

Data Deletion Guide

This guide explains how to delete your imported integration data from Lytical. You can remove data from any connected advertising or analytics platform at any time.

Overview

Lytical allows you to import data from various marketing platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) to analyze your campaigns. You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time.

What gets deleted:

  • All imported campaign, ad set, and ad-level statistics
  • Historical performance metrics (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions, etc.)
  • Sync timestamps and import history

What is NOT deleted:

  • Your OAuth connection to the platform (you must disconnect separately)
  • Your Lytical account or site settings
  • Data from other integrations

Disconnecting vs. Deleting

Action What it does
Disconnect Removes OAuth authorization. Lytical can no longer sync new data, but existing imported data remains.
Delete Data Removes all imported statistics for that integration. Does not affect the OAuth connection.

To fully remove an integration:

  1. First Delete all data (removes statistics)
  2. Then Disconnect (revokes authorization)

Who Can Delete Data?

Only Account Admins can delete integration data. If you see disabled buttons or "(Admin only)" labels, contact your account administrator.

To check your role:

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Find your name in the member list
  3. Your role is displayed next to your email

Re-importing Data After Deletion

After deleting data, you can re-import at any time:

  1. Ensure the integration is still connected (or reconnect it)
  2. Select the ad account you want to sync
  3. Choose your desired date range
  4. Click Start sync

Note: Meta, Google, and LinkedIn APIs typically allow historical data access for up to 2-3 years, though this varies by platform.

Data Retention & Privacy

  • Your data, your control: You can delete your integration data at any time
  • No backups retained: Deleted data is permanently removed from our systems
  • AI consent: If you've granted AI consent for an integration, deleting data also removes it from AI analysis. You can revoke AI consent separately without deleting data.

Troubleshooting

"Confirmation text did not match"

  • Ensure you type your domain exactly as shown (e.g., example.com, not www.example.com)
  • The field is case-sensitive

"Admin access required"

  • Only account administrators can delete data
  • Contact your account admin to request deletion

Data still appears after deletion

  • Clear your browser cache and refresh the page
  • Dashboard insights may be cached; they will update on next generation
